Bluetooth Stacks
The way to make a Bluetooth connection between the phone and a compatible PC depends on the Bluetooth software and hardware that is being used.
The following stacks are used by supported Bluetooth devices:
- Nokia DTL-4 – Digianswer stack
- Socket Bluetooth card – Digianswer stack
- 3Com PC card – 3Com stack
- TDK USB and PC card – Widcom stack
- Xircom CreditCard Bluetooth Adapter – Xircom stack
- Toshiba Tecra – Toshiba stack

Connecting Using Digianswer Stack
- Give your phone a recognizable name in the phone’s Bluetooth
Settings.
- Start the Bluetooth neighborhood software on the compatible
PC.
- Make the device discovery using the Bluetooth software on the
compatible PC.
- Pair and authenticate the PC and the phone using Bluetooth
software on the compatible PC and the serial port connection.
- Open Nokia Connection Manager and activate the Bluetooth connection
by clicking on the blue button. The connection method is active
when the button background is green.
Connecting Using Widcom Stack
- Give your phone a recognizable name in the phone’s Bluetooth
Settings.
- Open the Bluetooth software and select Search for Bluetooth
devices or Add Bluetooth connection.
- Right-click on your phone and select Pair Bluetooth devices.
Now perform the authentication and bonding procedure.
- When your phone is bonded with the compatible PC, right-click
the phone icon in the Bluetooth software and select Discover
available services.
- Double-click the Nokia PC Suite service icon. If your
phone asks for confirmation, select Accept. After you have
done this, you will get an information message telling you which
COM port will be used. Remember this number!
- Open Nokia Connection Manager and activate the Bluetooth connection
by clicking on the blue button. The connection method is active
when the button background is green.
- Choose your phone from the list and select Apply. Now
choose the correct COM port from the list.
- Complete any pairing procedures and your phone should now be
connected.
