Communicate more spontaneously with Push to talk.

Imagine yourself on the slopes and you want to stop at the next café for a refreshment. Just press the PTT key on your phone and ask your friends to join you – they will hear you immediately.

How to talk

  • Hold the phone in front of you.
  • Press the PTT key on the right side of your phone, wait for the start tone and start to talk. Press the PTT key the entire time you are talking.
  • Speak towards the microphone and do not cover the loudspeaker with your hands.
  • When you have finished talking, release the PTT key and you will hear an end tone.
  • Do not press the PTT key while another person is talking. Only one person at a time can talk. If you try to press the PTT key while another party is talking, you will hear a queuing tone.
Preparations
Before you can start to use the Push to talk service, you need to:

Check the availability of the Push to talk service from your network operator or service provider.

Adjust the settings for the Push to talk service. See Push to talk settings.

Warning
Be sure to hold the phone in front of you and not to your ear. The loudspeaker is used for listening. Do not hold the phone to your ear. Continuous exposure to high volume may damage your hearing.

Compatibility
Push to talk is implemented over GPRS networks and works with Push to talk-compatible devices.
