Your colleague wants the photo you just took as a wallpaper on his phone. Or maybe you need to transfer the training data from the Polar® Heart Rate Monitor to the Fitness Coach on your Nokia 5140 phone.
You can send data over an infrared connection. The device with which you want to establish a connection must be IrDA compliant.
Sending via IR
- Ensure that the IR ports of the sending and receiving devices are pointing at each other and that there are no obstructions between the devices.
- The preferable distance between the two devices in an infrared connection is 1 meter at most.
 indicator is blinking when the connection is being established. When the connection is activated, the indicator is shown continuously.
To receive data via IR
- Press Menu and select Settings, Connectivity and Infrared.
- If data transfer is not started within 2 minutes after the activation of the IR port, the connection is cancelled and has to be restarted.
