Using your Nokia 3660 phone as a modem for a compatible PC
You can use your Nokia 3660 phone as a modem for a compatible PC. This will allow you to browse the Internet or to access an e-mail account while you are on the move (contact your network operator and/or service provider for details). The connection can be made over HSCSD or GPRS. To connect your Nokia 3660 phone to a compatible PC, do the following:
- Go to Dial up networking (through My Computer > Control Panel).
- Either make a new connection or select an existing one, right click with your mouse and select Properties.
- Select Nokia 3660 phone from the drop-down list of modems and press OK.
- Double click your connection and dial-up networking should start to connect to your Internet Service Provider through your Nokia 3660 phone.
If your phone does not respond, make sure that:
- Your phone is connected to the PC.
- No other applications using the com ports are open on the PC. Check the status bar to make sure that you do not have the connection manager for a PC Suite for another phone or handheld device (Pocket PC etc.). Also make sure that there is no active internal modem.
