Settings define the way you get connected. The easiest way to get settings is via the Nokia website. The basic steps when obtaining settings are:

  • Order
  • Receive
  • Save
  • Activate

Configuration settings for MMS:

Press Menu and select Messages > Message settings > Multimedia msgs. Select Configuration settings and then Configuration. Select the Default service provider for retrieving multimedia messages.

  • Select Account to see the accounts provided by the service provider. You may receive the settings as a configuration message from the network operator or service provider.
Other Settings for multimedia messages:

Press Menu and select Messages > Message settings > Multimedia msgs. To see the settings you can adjust in the Settings menu.

Select

  • Save sent messages . Select Yes. If you select No, sent messages are not saved.
  • Delivery reports to request delivery reports for your messages (network service).
  • Scale image down to define the image size when you insert an image into a multimedia message.
  • Default slide timing to define the default display time for slides composed for multimedia messages.
  • Allow multimedia reception. Choose either Yes, No , or In home network to use the multimedia service. If you choose In home network , you cannot receive multimedia messages when you are away from your home network. The default setting is In home network.

Incoming multimedia messages. Select Retrieve to set the phone to automatically fetch newly-received multimedia messages, or
Reject if you do not wish to receive multimedia messages.
If you select Allow adverts, your phone will receive messages that are defined as advertisements.
