Messages

A text message is a discreet and convenient way of communicating. The Nokia 2600 phone memory can store up to 60 messages – think about the chunks of information you can have available!

In the Drafts menu, you can view the messages that you have saved with the Save message menu.

In the Sent items menu, you can view the copies of the messages that you have sent.

Writing a text message
  • In standby mode, press Menu and select Messages and Write message.
  • Key in the message. The number of available characters and the current part number are shown on the top right of the display.
  • When the message is complete, press Options, select Send, key in the recipient’s phone number or search for it in the phone book and press OK.
Using the built-in dictionary or predictive text input is a fast way of writing text. Try the guided simulation!
Messages in the phone memory
The Nokia 2600 phone memory stores up to 60 text messages. It is practical to delete unnecessary messages as you have finished reading them.
Note
Invoicing of a multi-part message may be based upon the number of ordinary messages that are needed for it. If you use special (Unicode) characters such as â, á, ë, ì more parts may be required for the message than would otherwise be required.
