Calls and contacts

You can make calls basically in two ways: by keying in the numbers or using a saved number in Contacts.

To make a call by keying in the numbers:
  • Key in the phone number, and the area code if necessary.
  • Press Call to call the number.
  • Press End to end the call (or to cancel the call attempt).
To answer a call in standby mode, it is not necessary to unlock the keypad. Just press Answer. To divert or reject the call without answering, press .

Contacts is your phone book in the phone. And it’s a thick one: the phone memory can store up to 200 phone book entries (a name and a number) and the SIM card up to 250.

To quickly search for a saved contact:
  • Press in standby mode.
  • Key in the first letter of the name.
  • Scroll up or down to find the name that you want.
Calling abroad
Add a "+" by pressing twice, and add the country (or region) code in front of the area code. Delete the leading 0 if necessary. It may be a good idea to save all phone numbers with the international codes.
Volume control
Press to increase or to decrease the volume of the earpiece or headset during the phone call.
Handsfree speaker
Occasionally during a call, you may want to free your hands or share the call with the people around you. You can do it with the handsfree speaker. See how you can do this in the simulation.
