Intellisync Chosen Above 9 Other Providers in "Synchronization" Category
SAN JOSE, CA (11/17/04) - Intellisync Corporation (Nasdaq: SYNC), a leading developer and marketer of wireless software solutions for the worldwide mobile communications industry, today announced that it has won Pocket PC magazine's "Best Software Award" for 2004 in the "Synchronization" category. Intellisync was selected as the winner after a comprehensive review of 10 products nominated in its category.
The annual Pocket PC magazine Best Software Awards are designed to help users select software that best suits their Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone needs by honoring companies that produce outstanding software. More than 80 Pocket PC magazine "Board of Experts" members judged 581 Windows Mobile products in 100 Pocket PC, Smartphone and Developer categories to determine finalists and winners.
"Once again, we are delighted to emerge on top in yet another mobility product review," said Rip Gerber, Intellisync's chief marketing officer. "For over a decade, Intellisync has been committed to providing the best mobile experience across the widest array of devices and platforms - from the individual desktop to large-scale rollouts for mobile carriers and large enterprises. We believe that success in these industry contests is an important element in the selection of mobility solutions by enterprises, mobile carriers and partners."
This latest award adds to a growing list of industry honors earned recently by Intellisyncs mobility solutions. This year alone, another of the Company's products, Intellisync® Mobile Suite, received Windows & .NET Magazine's "Best of TechEd 2004" Award as the top solution in the "Mobile PCs and Devices" category; Network Computing magazine's 2004 Well-Connected Award as "Best Mobile Wireless Email System"; and the MobileTrax Mobility Award as the best Mobile Enterprise Software. In addition, Intellisync Mobile Suite has been recognized by Gartner as one of only two "Challengers" to RIM in wireless email, and by IDC as a "Leader" in mobile device management.
Developed as a single, manageable platform for both enterprises and mobile carriers, Intellisync Mobile Suite goes beyond network-based push email by also offering integrated device management and synchronization of PIM information, corporate data and files - all "over-the-air".
