PC Suite

Use PC Suite to synchronize phone information with a compatible PC, install software, configure phone settings, and make backups of phone files.

To ensure readability, install PC Suite in the same language as your PC's operating system. You can find language versions other than English in the menu below.

Please note that Modem setup is now included in PC Suite.


PC Suite 5.8

System requirements

To install and run PC Suite 5.8, you need at least 150 MB of free disk space on a compatible PC.

Connections

In addition, your PC must support at least one of your phone's connection types:

  • Infrared (IrDA)
  • Nokia Connectivity Adapter Cable CA-42 (available separately)

If you are going use PC Suite with the Nokia Connectivity Adapter Cable CA-42, download and install the cable driver first:

Windows 2000/XP: Download the latest driver

Windows 98/ME: Download the cable driver provided above

  • Nokia Connectivity Adapter Cable DKU-5 (available separately)

If you use one of the following operating systems, download PC Suite version 5.8 above:

  • Windows 98 Second Edition
  • Windows Millennium Edition

If you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP:

Download the latest version of PC Suite

  • Microsoft Outlook Express (Windows Address Book)

PC Suite 5.8 contains the following applications. Please note that not all applications are compatible with all phone models; see Supported Phones below.

  • Nokia Application Installer
    Install Java™-based games or utilities on your phone
  • Nokia Audio Manager
    Store and organize music files, create playlists, and transfer them to your phone
  • Nokia Connection Manager
    Select the connection type between your phone and PC
  • Nokia Content Copier
    Back up phone files to your PC or transfer data to another Nokia phone
  • Nokia Image Converter
    Make images into multimedia messages or phone wallpapers and transfer them to your phone
  • Nokia Phone Browser
    Browse through image, audio, and content files stored on your phone and transfer files between your phone and PC
  • Nokia Modem Options
    Select data transfer settings for your Internet connection (HSCSD or GPRS)
  • Nokia Multimedia Player
    Play MIDI sounds, images, videos and multimedia messages on a PC. Multimedia Player allows you to view multimedia received on your phone or via e-mail
  • Nokia Phone Editor
    Send text messages and edit your phone's contacts
  • Nokia PC Sync
    Synchronize contacts, calendar, to-do's and Notes between your phone and PC
  • Nokia Settings Manager
    Edit your phone's access point settings and bookmarks with PC
  • Nokia Sound Converter
    Optimize sounds into polyphonic ringing tones and transfer them to your phone
